30. Europe Bicycle Trip-Day 8-Amsterdam Museum Day--- The Rijks Museum-CROWDS !!!

After visiting the Grade 5 Akersloot class , we said goodbye and for the first time, we took the bus to Uitgeest and then the train to Amsterdam. Sarah is EXCELLENT at all this. Her year in Sweden as an exchange student certainly taught her a lot about using public transit. Thank you Sarah for all your help!

The famous Rijks Museum

We got in quickly due to the stroller and the need to take an elevator but...

I had to wait in line over half an hour to check in my backpack and coat.

I took many pictures but a flash cannot be used.

The museum has been under renovations and renewal for 10 years and is beautiful.

There are many different types of displays.

Many items are behind glass.

Dane decided that he does not like museums and e let us know.Sarah  can brag however that she nursed her child in the Rijks Museum amidst famous paintings.

These rooms were so crowded that we took turns walking around and it was difficult to photo with no people in the picture.

There were many school groups and tour groups.We decided that it is best to come to  museums during OFF SEASON.
