36. Europe Bicycle Trip-Day 10--Sat. April 26-- "Koning's Dag" morning

Throughout the Netherlands, there are celebrations today for King Willem-Alexander's birthday which is tomorrow but not celebrated on a Sunday. Every town and city has celebrations. The King and his wife , Maxima and their children will also celebrate in a special town. His focus for his birthday is to have children's games and activities everywhere. We were going to celebrate in the morning in Akersloot.
Dane says "Zalig Koninsdag"-Happy King's Day---Let's go celebrate!!!
Margot says " First all my nails must be done!"
We made it just in time for the start of the short parade.
Then we headed to the children's fair and flea market at a local school. I bought a drink from these entrepreneurs.
I had to shoot at targets inside the wagon.
I knocked down two and could reach inside the bucket for a prize.
This man, from the historical society had a quiz where you matched old scenes with present day. Margot later found out that she came second and won 15 Euros.
This cute little girl had the orange and the red, white and blue flag colours.
Two mothers with their daughters.
Margot's friend that lent baby equipment for Dane
