The old road- Promenade des Ramparts

We walked along  the Promenade des Ramparts which is the oldest road through this area.

It is very narrow and many of the buildings along here are owned by people who live far away and don't want to invest into upgrading them.

We passed by the tea shop of Edward's friend, Aude.

She has done ALL the cross stitch works that are on the wall.

She serves cakes and pastries.

Continuing on

This wall is collapsing.

This is where Edward worked for the Toy Collection Company.

Our road led upwards.

Finally after this ascent we came to a  more modern section with shops.
