105. Europe Bicycle Trip---Wool and Talented Eljen

This is Eljen who is a talented woman. She has a business called Broos where she makes garments from her own wool. She raises her own sheep. see www.atelierbroos.nl   Eljen is a retired teacher from a special sewing school in Amsterdam She and her husband moved out to this lovely place in the countryside . Her husband, Geert retired from teaching  in January and has done many cyclng trips to Netherlands, France and Malaysia but he  has always wanted to go across Africa in a land rover so he bought an old one and fixed it up and has been on his adventure for many months now. see geehurkmanstravelswiththimba Eljen will join her husband for a month later this summer.

I was to stay in the side of the garage building where Eljen has a kitchen and a work room for workshops, and sewing and storing wools and fabrics.

I was staying up here in the loft with some of the displays of her clothes.
Vibrant colours and different mixtures of fabrics
Eljen with a rack of her finished designer products .She also makes blankets. When the weather is rainy, she works inside and when it is nice she is in her garden. She is thoroughly enjoying her retirement here.
I also noticed this folded up Brompton bicycle in the kitchen and told her that I was first in line when she thinks that she will sell it.
