114. Europe Bicycle Trip--A Real Dutch Supper

Theo and Astrid treated Ome Jan, Tante Betty and I to a real Dutch supper. It was DELICIOUS!!!!!! Thank you so very much. It was way better than meeting in a restaurant. You are great cooks. Your mother would have been proud.
The cooks busy in the kitchen
Theo's pumpkin soup was the first course.
A colourful salad for a sidedish
Astrid's witlof with ham and cheese-I have never had this before and it tasted great.
Theo's blindevink (hamburger with spek(bacon bits) tasted very good.
Theo's homemade applesauce and potatoes by Astrid if I remember correctly.
With a nice glass of dinner wine , the Dutch meal was enjoyed by everyone. We ate "smakelijk"
Marjolein took this photo so I could be in it.
I'm asking Marjolein to spell her name for me.
Ben and Tante Betty were in deep conversation!
Marjolein had to run off to teach her spin class.
Cousins!!!

We all had a great time. The meal was delicious. Thank you Theo and Astrid!!!!! Theo had to go back to work in his office in his apartment and we walked back to Astrid's to have a cup of tea and for her sister, Annelies who had to work today and we would have a short visit with her before we drove back to the caravan.
