120. Europe Bicycle Trip--Hemelsvaart Dag

Today is Day 43, Thursday, May 29th. It is a holiday called Hemelsvaart Dag or Ascension Day. Majda was up early because there would be a parade and she would follow along on her bicycle. Her other Friend of the Bicycle guest Arie was also awake. He would be doing a 40 km walk again today, the second day of 4 days of walking. We had a very good conversation about sin and what the Bible says about Jesus taking our sin upon Himself on the cross and nothing else is required but to put your faith and trust in His work and nothing of ourselves.

Thank you for an enjoyable stay at your home on a rainy day. It was dull outside but very bright and cheery inside!

When she heard the music of the parade, she said goodbye to me and was off.
Away Majda peddles to catch everyone.
I stopped and said hello to this group of people. They were out bicycle riding and had stopped at the roadside statue of Mary.
These are found in many places along the bicycle paths.
They gave me a cup of tea and we did a group photo and then I said goodbye.

Silver is a Specialized bicycle. This is the first bicycle store that I see for Specialized. It was closed for the holiday.

You might think that this is a palace or town hall or university building BUT...it is a new apartment building.
