227. Europe Bicycle Trip--Huijbergen--A Dutch-Belgium Mix

After crossing through a little section of Belgium, I am now back in North Brabant, Netherlands.
Welcome sign

Huijbergen is the first small village after the border change.

When you live this close to the border, you cheer for Netherlands and Belgium who are both doing well in World Cup Soccer.

A sign depicting 750 year anniversary of Huijbergen.

A short while later I came to Woensdrecht and this plaque by Jac van Nes concerning bringing water back to this area of nature near Hoogerheide.

The sculpture nearby depicts a bean coming alive and sprouting its first leaves.

The Dutch lion is alive and well here!

Netherlands will play Costa Rica on Saturday in the quarter finals of World Cup Soccer.
