Day 7 Saturday, May 15, 2010 Distance 99.47 km. Time 5 hrs. 27 min. Total so far 505.57 km. The roadkill count today was over 30 so I have stopped my count of dead animals. All I have to say is that it is good that raccoons are so prolific and that it is sad that all the roadways cut into the animals' habitats. We passed along farmland and some of it is flooded! We went through Merrill and then Hemlock and cycled our way over to Hwy 52 which we will take all the way down to Ohio. I listened to music for an hour which was nice. We made it to Owosso and at the grocery store, Marsha, invited us to her home but she lived three miles back and we were beat. We said "many thanks," but continued on to a spot just off the road. It was an old lane of a farm. We had a berm of sorts between the road and our site.
