Shells, groceries and visiting Dicky

I noticed today during my walk-jog that they use little sea shells to cover all the paths. They redo them every couple of years.

This section has been newly covered and the weight of everyone going over will eventually crush them.

At one part there is a huge pile of sea shells.

I went shopping with Carla

Many meals come with most items all together in one box. Sometimes you only have to buy an egg or meat extra. The prices are quite reasonable.

Many different varieties of meals

Carla chose this one.

There are big sections of different kinds of lettuces all cut up already.

Vegetables all cut up.

When we were dropped off the children back to their home we went by Ron and Lilian's flower bus. They park it in different spots and keep it there for a few weeks.

We said hello to Lilian

In the afternoon we went for a tea visit to Carla's mother, Dicky. She is 97 and very spry for her age.  She likes to look at pictures and has many photo albums. We had good conversations in Dutch.

She seems very happy and has a beautiful room in the old age home. She is also an impatient and stubborn woman according to Carla.

I hope I will be as healthy and spry as she is 22 years from now.

Close up-May God bless you, Dicky
