I slept so -so last night. I woke up and had a shower and dressed. Breakfast was very good. There is lots of variety from different kinds of breads to meats, cheeses, yogurts and nuts and fruits. We made our lunch at the same time.
The bicycles were lined up outside and after my bags were loaded, I joined some of the others to do warm up exercises to music.
Finally we were on the way out of Amsterdam. Almost immediately we had to take a ferry over the Amstel river.
Then we bicycled through various streets until we came out of Amsterdam. We came to a pump station out in the country. Sietse told us about how the water is pumped out of the land and how the land is so much lower than the sea.

One of our ladies had an accident. She lost control of her bicycle on an upgrade and then downturn and landed in the canal up to her neck and with her bicycle. We had to wait a long time for her to put on some dry clothes and get over the shock of her experience.
