Finally I arrived in Fredericia to meet Susan, her husband, Paul-Eric and their youngest of three sons, Victor. Susan works in an office in the shipping area of the waterfront directing where all the containers have to go. She also volunteers at a home for abused women when she is not at work. Paul-Eric works as a salesman for a heating and air conditioning company. He has also qualified and is a counselor for war veterans. T,hey have 3 sons, Daniel, Mattias and Victor. I only met Victor who is 18 and is an apprentice welder. He is a handsome, mature young man. I also met his best friend , Kennie ,who will turn 18 on July 30 and he is an apprentice electrician. Their home is very beautiful and I was given a room downstairs, shared their lunch and started a load of laundry.
After supper, Susan took me out for a tour. First we went to the local beach. It was windy, but warm.
Then we drove to the city of Vejle.
We stopped at the government building where one would get married. There was also a sculpture of a historic person. Beside it was a big church and a cemetery.
Then we drove to Fjordhus where the owner of Legoland has his offices. It is quite a unique building on the waterfront.
In the distance, we could see the bridge for cars to go to Fun from Jutland.
We took photos.
Then we drove to the restaurant and grounds where Susan and Paul-Eric had their wedding reception.
The grounds were very pretty.
There is also an old grain mill on site that is now a museum.
The man in charge let in some water and the round tube turned. We saw the millstone and I was standing on a trap door . It was good that he didn't open it.
There were also some antiques that we looked at in another building.
Then we went home. On the evening we watched a show about a couple rebuilding a castle they had purchased.
