22. Europe Bicycle Trip---Walking over The Swan to Carola's house

21. Europe Bicycle Trip--Spido Boat Tour of Rotterdam Harbour

After a very nice lunch , we had a Spido boat tour of Rotterdam Harbour- the 3rd largest in the world.

Holland America Lines ( we thought our family had left for Canada from here but later Ome Frits said that we took the train to le Havre in France and left from there.

20. Europe Bicycle Trip-Day 5--Tour of Rotterdam by Cousin Carola with her parents, my Ome Jan and Tante Betty

We woke up early and took the train to Amsterdam first and after a quick exchange , we caught the train to Rotterdam. Carola, Ome Jan and Tante Betty met us at Rotterdam's new Central Station.

Most of Rotterdam got bombed during World War 2 and rebuilding is still going on.
Lourenskerk-almost had to be completely rebuilt.

We had a delicious sandwich in the restaurant on the main floor.

I am trying to see if downsizing a photo will help load it faster. I have to do each one SEPARATELY by right clicking and pressing edit and then a little square box and then switching to pixels and typing in the smaller size. Here we go!  Result--I lost internet for a couple of hours so I am not sure if it works. I will try again with next blog.

17. Europe Bicycle Trip--Amsterdam

Dane was happy to go  on the train.These are some highlights of our tour of Amsterdam with Margot on Easter Sunday, April 20,2014 They are not in order as I tried but could not do so.

David and Goliath-In 1978 when I was last in Netherlands, they were in a restaurant.
The Crying Tower-Women went there to cry when their men didn't come back from fishing on the sea.
Sarah was busy taking photos all day
